Default Pulled the Trigger - GTA Car [PHOTOS]

Thank you to everyone that replied to my earlier thread about an ASA/GTA car, those that I talked to, traded PM's with, etc. I appreciate ALL of your advice, input, etc. and look forward to seeing y'all on the track!

I pulled the trigger, say hello to #13... Gregg at Pinnacle is doing some tweaks and she will be ready soon. I'm still gearing up with the required safety equipment and should be hitting the track soon. I'm pumped!!

It's running a GTA-spec LS1 (around 406 HP to the ground, 475/480 at the crank, conservative rating) dry sump mated to a Jericho 4 speed tranny, quick change rear-end, etc. Bonus is the Cool Suit / Forced Air Helmet setup! Car is in great shape.

Congrats on the new ride ! A lot of times X race cars are ragged out and used up when sold. That one looks to be in great shape from the pics posted, enjoy ! You certainly could not duplicate it new for the price of entry.

now that looks fun, and safe. after seeing a c6 lose it's brakes and slide off track into a tire wall at NJMP a few weeks ago... a dedicated, caged car is the way to go once you get passed the "I think I'll try this track thing" stage.

Here's an article I did on the 1997/8 ASA LS1 engines. They're still out there.

Richard: very cool article, thank you for sharing!!

mbeckers: I can give you a few numbers of folks who have cars for sale...it's at least a good learning experience. I've got a buddy considering making the move too. Fingers crossed that he does! When I was at Pinnacle there was a guy that showed up that is interested too...

rmj - Thank you! What's your take on this car? Got a list of things you would do/change? Always open to advice.

Would love to make the NASA event but I get back from Germany during that TWS weekend. I definitely want to come out and at least check out the NASA ECR weekend November 1-3, if not at least run HPDE.

I liked the car I was perty close to pulling the trigger on it but,I had a deal fall through that prevented me from buying it.

My plan was to race the hell out of it & get used to the differences between it & my Grand Am Vette. I was planning to run it W2W for a year before I made any changes. Eventually I would have upgraded to the LS3 & then the camaro body.
