I am the one that instigated the Southern migration. Signed up for lapping on Friday and ST3 on Sat-Sun.

The Seneca Lodge. I will be parked near the Wild Horses hauler (aka Pantas rig). We are going to arrive Thursday morning, do some wine tours, and then head to the Lodge that afternoon.

You running Friday as well? I need some lead/follow sessions if possible. Or better yet, jump into my passenger seat.

Kevin, a friendly reminder that the boot section is optional unless you are leading your class.

I should be up there by 4 or 5pm on Thursday. I plan to drop the trailer and then find somewhere to eat and drink. I'm staying at The Falls in Montour. They have their own Food/Bar that's not bad, then there's a pub in town we like because it has cheap drinks and good wings. Then of course there's about 20 - 30 decent choices in Watkins Glen.
You have my cell number, give me a call on Thursday and well get connected.

There's a few good options for the Passenger seat and I will be glad to ride along.

Hmmmmm........Just ignore all the cones on the right as you exit turn 5. They are just there to scare the rookies!

I'm going to be there in TT3 Sat+Sun assuming everything goes as planned over the next week.

I'm thinking about trying to make it out for Friday since this is my first time to the track with a Corvette, but time is an issue. Anyone interested in pitting with a new guy? I do know the track, but not the car.

there should be a big flag with TT on it in the parking lot so that is where most of the TT folks will be. I'll be dropping of my trailer there Friday night.

Weather looks great - I'm on a boondogle from the South all three days in HPDE.

Camping in my trailer.

If anyone finds a red Z06 lost on track today in the Thunder Group, please return it to the paddock. HA!

See ya out there. I am behind the garages, red F250, red #01 ST3 Z06. There is a blue e30 and a yellow Honda next to me.

Great to meet everyone! What a BEAUTIFUL area!!!! Holy cow.

We towed 11 hours to Raleigh last night for a meeting this morning. Hope to be home in Charlotte this afternoon. I will do a full weekend recap later tonight if I am not asleep.

It is a very beautiful area. I live about 60 miles from there but didn't make it for the weekend since my wife and I are in the final stages of cleaning out the house before moving to Charlotte. Will be looking forward to visiting the southern tracks like VIR, CMP and Road Atlanta.

TT program was packed. We had about 30 cars total. 8 in TT3 and about the same in TTU. Not a bad turnout

I got a 2:05.5 on saturday on 275's in TT3 (no aero) but was still leaving time on the table at bus stop, carousel right after bus stop and entering turn 1. Probably also the last 2 turns (left, then right onto main straight). I'll post up vids soon/tonight.

I was battling for 1st place with my friend Thai in TT3 with his evo. He had me in 3rd session, 2:06.1 for him and 2:06.5 for me. Last session I pushed harder and got 2:05.5 versus his 2:05.9. It was close and fun as hell.

Sunday he moved to TT2 so that we could each have a chance for 2 tires since we each had the TT2 guys covered. He busted out a 2:04.5 but I slowed to a 2:08 (due to me, not the car) but still came in 1st in TT3.

So I have the track TT3 record at the Glen with a 2:05.5 (last year it was 2:08).
History: I went 2:03.2 on 275 pirelli DH's with a different group few months back but I just couldn't get there with the hoosiers.

There were a bunch of big wrecks which sadly happens at every Glen event. This is an unforgiving track and demands 100% driver commitment and focus in addition to mechanical integrity. I hope all the guys that were involved are OK physically (one instructor had to go to hospital).

For the racers...In case you don't have Race Monitor...

Times seemed slow for this Sat ST2 THunder Race. Not sure why; didn't get to watch. But here are best times:
  • Pete Mac in Geerookie's car best of 2:04.8
  • Dave Fazzino 2:07.0
  • Mike Foosh 2:07.6
  • Kevin 2:07.9
  • Marc Foosh 2:13.1
  • Mike Gaetano 2:13.1

Sunday's Thunder race ST2 times were:
  • Pete Mac driving Geerookie's vette got a 2:01.487
  • Mike Foosh getting best time of 2:01.77 (aero and 315's).
  • Kevin best lap of 2:08.298.
  • Mike's dad came 2:09.7.
  • Matt Gaetano got 2:11.9.
