Qs re APR lower CF lip and cooling
I just fitted the CF lower lip to my C6 Z06 and noted that it covers up the gap under the car that feeds air from underneath to the radiator and air intake.
My understanding was that the Z06 relies on this intake under the car for cooling? Have others removed this section on the APR lip to maintain this air intake's effectiveness?
Or have you used the APR lip to block off this intake with no cooling effects?

Burning Brakes
The C6Z06 has a black block off plate on the bottom already, take another look. It is open on the base models not the Z. The Z does take brake cooling only from the bottom. That may or may not be an issue with the new lip. Easy solution is lose the fogs and draw brake air from ducts from Pegasus Racing epoxied into the fog opening; looks like it came that way from the factory when you are done.

Hmm, mine has no block off plate - totally open.just ahead of the lower flexible splitter. I already have oil coolers in the front fog light openings...strange...

I have a C-5 APR wind splitter. I have a intercooler . I had to
adjust and cut the splitter(spoiler) so that I got the air going where it
is suppose to go. There is nothing wrong with modification, good luck.

I have the APR splitter on my C6 Z06. The mid section that goes all the way back on the bottom is there to prevent the front opening from sagging at the bottom during high speed. Hence the reason why ZR1s and Z06s with CF option have the reinforcement piece behind the bumper. The C6 Z is 100% front feeder when it comes to cooling, therefore there is no affect on cooling whatsoever. Have been running one for 2 years now with a Halltech CF102 intake and no problems on the track.
