C5Z 18x9.5 front wheels
Been searching and can't find much reasonable...maybe it is where I am looking.
Has anybody found some 18x9.5 front wheels for a C5Z that have a 48-60mm offset and don't weigh 30 pounds or more and will not break the bank?
It is the last two criteria that are proving troublesome. I can find cheap ones at 27lbs, but nothing under 20lbs that isn't $1000/wheel. I don't really care what they look like.
Thanks
T

Many people track the TSWs. They have an 18x9 forged wheel that's just over 20lbs and can probably be had for around $1000 delivered for all 4. They actually look good too.

Edit: Maybe not that price delivered to Canada though.

Thanks, I know, I have 3 pairs...anybody want a pair? lol
Kidding aside, with the new SCCA Street rules for autox, allowance for +/-1" diameter with no change in width and 0.25" (6.35mm) change in offset only have been made.
My plan is to run BFG Rivals in Street class with 295/18 (f) and 315/18 (r) this year. Hence the need for 18x9.5 fronts. Going to 18" fronts, because the widest sticky 17" street is only 255mm.
I ran RS3's two years ago at 255/17 (f) and 285/18 (r) and found them too be too small and the wrong tire for the car and climate. Now I want fatter tires and a tire with less heat dependence. I have driven the ZII on other cars and am not a huge fan of those either.

I am in the same boat kinda I want to run 18X9.5's at all four for the better tires, width,etc...
C5 NON-Z06 rear wheels are 18X9.5" and bolt right on. However, you'll need spacers as will I to get the offset correct. They weigh about 21lbs or so and are cheap.
IF BFG or Dunlap would make a 275/40/17 this would be a LOT easier. Not like OTHER cars don't use that size as well.

Thanks for the tip. I just re-read the offset chart at another Central Corvette site. I thought the C5 rears were a 40mm offset, turns out they are 57. Ooops. That opens a lot of doors. Seems the C6 fronts will work as well.
Agreed, a 275/17 would make things so much less complicated.
