Default WTB/Feeler: C5 Track day car

I'm starting to look for a C5 track day car so i can keep my Z off the track and have something more dedicated for the track which will more than likely not be driven to the track. I'm currently speaking with Joe from Phoenix cars in PA (about his yellow C5 Z he has for sale with the LS3 dry sump motor) but wanted to see what else was out there on the forum.

Details:
1: Would prefer Z06 but open to FRC's or coupes also
2: Budget, would like to stay around mid 20's or less
3: Closer to 47401 zip the better but will ship car if needed
4: Can be nice C5 Z with suspension upgrades etc all the way to a gutted car, im just really open to anything right now as i start to look
5: Mods, open to anything
6: Send cars and details to: jgarman@commsrv.com or PM me or reply in thread. Email is best.

Not sure if I'm missing anything else but if I'am just let me know.
thanks for your help,
Joe

I know you are looking for a C5Z but:

Consider a purpose built racer like the LS1 powered ASA cars. Usually priced between 17-25 K, they are fast, safe, easy to work on and repair and use parts made for racing. New from HOWE or others they were 70K plus.

With about 400 HP to the wheels and at about 2500 # without driver they offer a LOT of performance for the dollar. Easily and cheaply upgraded to be much quicker. Tires are only about 600 new per set new.

you can PM me if you like, I can probably find you some to consider

Best to find one already converted to road race unless you find a great deal on an unconverted example. Not many unconverted ones left.

For a trailered track day car or local club racer...this is the way to go. I would never again consider a production based track-only car unless it was required for the class I was racing in. The performance per dollar in an ASA LS1 car is hard to believe. Lots of threads here about guys going over to the dark side....
