It sounds like there is no live coverage until 2PM EST today.. this really sucks...
I was hoping they'd alteast have live streaming on the website but coverage is really spotty.
the only schedule I can find anywhere is here http://www.imsa.com/races/rolex-24-daytona

Can anyone out there give me an idea what channel FOX is on direct TV. I am looking at the guide on my direct TV and FOX does not have the race as being televised. Channel 5 is Fox in Virginia and the guide shows no 24 hrs. of Daytona. Fox sports 1 ( channel 219) shows later coverage but I cannot find the start of the race on a FOX channel. How in the hell can it be so FN difficult to find coverage for the 24 hrs of Daytona. FN nascar would have ten channels covering what the drivers are wearing before the race started. Frickin ridiculous. IMSA needs to pull their head out of their *** and get some decent coverage of these races. No wonder they think viewership is down, you can't find it on these obscure channels. Please bring back the original speed vision with world challenge , trans -am . Real racing. It is ridiculous to have to hook up my laptop to my tv to stream a race. Buffering ruins it . To have invested in a great TV, surround sound etc. and not be able to watch these races really pisses my off. In case you couldn't tell. Thanks for the help!

Thanks a lot guys!! I don't get it. WDCA channel 20 is a very small local station. Never in a million years would I have thought it would be on this channel. I really do not understand the marketing of this series and this race. I find it ridiculous. The only thing I can think of is that WDCA is some kind of FOX affiliate. You would never know that though. I have had several phone calls from racing friends who can't find the race either and I appreciate you guys letting me know. I can now share this info. Really looking forward to this event!!
Thanks again!

Anyway, Super Bowl is on FOX next Sunday as well, so bookmark this channel if you plan on watching the Super Bowl next week.

Directv 618 carried prerace. I then had to go just below local channels out of Huntsville, al. and found channel 6 has the race. I think it switches around 3 or 4 times for the entire race. BTW, the commentators were criticizing Ollie but the inside spot into the turn was clean and the car in front held him up. It wasn't "too early in the race to rub fenders" ......commentating idiots.

Now the nut is complaining about the sound of the tranny in the #4. That one commentator has a problem with America's sports car, evidently. Sounds great to me.
