Default rear wheel width

After talking to Todd at Gt race tires, he suggested I stick with the 12" rear width for race rims instead of going with what I thought to be the norm of 13" rear that quite a few forum members go with. He said by sticking with 12" rear, I would have a better range of tire choices. Just curious to see who stuck with 12 or went to 13 and if they have had any issues?

Thanks

Justin

Default rim width

If you stick with just 335 or 345 rear tires the 13 in will probably give you a better footprint. I have run 12 in with 335's without any noticeable issues.

However, I agree with Todd, especially if you wanted to run WC (Pirelli) or Continental slicks that 12 in. may work better as the tires available 315's and some 325's will work better on 12 in rims.
