The Cub Pro 101 TPMS tool has software that is only up through 2009 model year vehicles.

However, THE CUB TOOL WILL WORK WITH 2010-2013 C6 VETTES!!!!

I ordered several of these to send to a couple of forum members overseas. It cost more for shipping than for the tool, but at $60 total shipped it was still a good deal!!

I knew this tool would work with the newer C6, and I had a chance to confirm that by checking the Cub tool out on a 2011 GS on a dealer's lot. I wasn't able to do a full relearn procedure, but I did a diagnostic check on a sensor and the Cub tool triggered the sensor to transmit its data (just as is required for the relearn procedure), the tool intercepted that signal transmitted by the sensor, and the screen on the tool displayed the data (the sensor's unique ID#, the tire pressure, and "Normal").

The sensor in the 2010-2013 Vette is different from the one in the 2005-2009, and the tool's menu only has up through the 2009 model year.

However, the sensor used in the 2010-2013 Vette has been used in many other GM vehicles for a number of years prior to it being put into the 2010 C6. The HHR, Impala, Monte Carlo, several models of the Cadillac, and others use the exact same sensor as the 2010-2013 Vette.

When I checked the GS on the dealer's lot, I just went down the menu in the tool and selected the HHR. When I scanned the sensor in the GS the tool triggered the sensor and displayed the data.

So....this very cheap Cub TPMS tool WILL WORK with the sensors in a 2010-2013 Vette!!!

Just select the HHR or other vehicle that uses the same sensor.

The tool uses 6 AA batteries - just get some new Alkaline ones (you won't be able to recharge them, but they'll work great).

The batteries that come with it are NiMH rechargeables, and you can easily find replacements for them almost anywhere that sells batteries if you really want rechargeable ones.

Hey Ron - did you get a chance to try it yet?

I was going to try to come up and visit to try it on your car, but I have a neighbor that has a GS so I used it on his car and it worked great!!

I selected several different models of cars that used the same sensor as the 2010-2013 C6 for several years prior to that, and they all worked.

When I selected HHR, Impala, or Monte Carlo, the tool triggered the GS sensors in all cases.

I did a full relearn using HHR, and got the confirmation honk at each wheel (double honk at the Left Rear) indicating that the tool triggered the sensor, the sensor sent out its data, and the TPMS computer in the car logged the data into its memory.

Here's a picture of the screen on the tool after it triggered one of the GS sensors:




You can see in the picture above that I had selected HHR, and the sensors used in the 2010-2013 C6 transmit the temperature. The temp isn't displayed anywhere in the car (should be able to be seen in the DIC, but it isn't). The temp may be of interest to owners that track their car, and this tool will display it.

I don't know what that "Remeasure" means.

Below is a picture of using the tool on my 2009, and you can see that the sensors used in the 2005-2009 do not send the temp out in their data transmission signal:




My neighbor also has a Camaro ZL1 convertible for his wife (I don't know what model year, but within the last year or so) and its sensors responded to HHR, Impala, or Monte Carlo. He has a 2011 CTS-V as well, and I selected CTS on the menu of the tool and although it only indicated up through the 2009 model year it still triggered the sensors in his newer model.

Bottom line - even though the Cub tool's software only indicates up through the 2009 model year for all the vehicles in it, many of the sensors have been used in the same vehicle in earlier years. Or, as in the case of the newer C6, the sensors have been used in other vehicles - and it's easy enough to check various sources to see other vehicles that you can select in the Cub tool to work with model years newer than 2009.

And it's nice to get an accurate readout of tire pressure without even taking off your valve stem caps. Don't put the car into the learn mode, just walk up to your car and do a diagnostic scan of the sensor to get the pressure displayed on the screen.

If you get one of these Cub tools to use with your 2010-2013 C6 Vette, just select HHR on the menu!!

When I scan my sensors they read but won't sync with the car. I'm in acc in learn mode. Anything else i should do?

Thanks, I did that, the horn sounds so it should be in the learn mode. It worked on the old wheels. Maybe the old are to close since they stored in the garage.

It doesn't matter where your old wheels/sensors are located - they can be a foot away from the car without affecting the relearn of a new set of sensors.

To enter the learn mode you don't need the parking brake on, but ignition must in ACC (yellow light illuminated on ignition button), and push and hold both the lock and unlock buttons on the fob until you get a horn honk.

Once in the learn mode you must trigger the first sensor (Left Front) within one minute or the learn mode times out.

You say your car goes into the learn mode, and you say you get a readout on the Cub tool's screen.

If you get a readout on the tool's screen then you are triggering the sensor and getting it to transmit out its info to the TPMS computer in the car.

If the horn doesn't honk when that happens then the TPMS computer is not recognizing the signal transmitted by the sensor.

It sounds like you may not have the correct sensors for your model year in your new wheels.

What sensors were installed in your new wheels??

Did you see them? What color are they, and what shape? Are they OE sensors made by Schrader, or are they some aftermarket sensors? What is the part# of the new sensors?
