Default Selling my RECARO PROFI SPG for a new SPARCO ERGO.... Kind of nervous....

"If it ain't broken, don't try to fix it" - IDK

I LOVE my Recaro but last season during open track there was a Subaru BRZ that flipped SEVERAL times (Driver and passenger had zero injuries) and a Porsche GT3 that snapped an end link and lost control at high speeds (Never crashed, driver ok)
Got me thinking about safety and I bought some fireproof gear, gonna grab a "Necksgen" (Hans alternative) and I just saw this new Sparco seat thats pretty cool.....

http://www.425motorsports.com/sparco-ergo-seats.html

It has a removable DTC head protection system. Easily bolts on and off. Ride without the halo to the track, ride with it on the track

BUT, I think its kind of ugly and I just love Recaro....

Curious what you guys might think about the trade?

I have seen the Sparco and it is an interesting concept. I like the fit and and feeling of the Recaro just a little more.

One of the more comfortable seats I have sat in is the Cobra Evolution but you have much better visibility with their open halo system

Sweet, thanks for the link. Not sure if that's street legal? Couldn't find that info. I'm worried that halo would still be in my way, visually. I like the idea of taking it off all together.
Thank you for your reply and info!

I have seen those in the store, and it's a pretty neat concept.

It looks like it has a similar shell to the Evo, which is what I use in my dual-use car. The side bolsters are low enough to get in and out of the car relatively easy.

A friend of mine picked one up for his street/DE/TT car and seems to like it. Go test sit one and make sure that it fits your body/proportions before buying... otherwise, I don't see a problem with it.
