Default Do instructors with nasa need to go through tech with their cars?

Some clubs require it and some don't. I'll be instructing with nasa for the first time this weekend and just want to make sure I arrive with plenty of time in the morning or if I should make an attempt to arrive the night before to unload and set up.

each region can be different, most only require you to drop of your sheet with the chief instructor

If in TT yes unless the director allows them to have an annual race car tech performed. I don't know how froggy they'd be about allowing HPDE participants do it like that though.

Best option is to go ahead and ask for an annual tech inspection. They will put a sticker on the windshield, and then you should be good for the whole year.

In Florida it's self tech. sticker issued at instructor meeting when you turn in your tech form (self done)

If you are a race car with a current log book and tech sticker you don't need to. Other than that I believe all cars are required to go through tech.

Self tech is just plain scary.

HPDE 4 instructing really depends on the region - when I instructed for mid-south and south east its was as simple as having the tech form done, rolling through tech, showing brake lights work and my helmet was in date. Then sticker and done.
Other groups its turn in form, show helmet and get the packet.

Running TT - just have your annual sticker. Show up at the morning TT meeting.
