Default Rear shock length for widened wheels C5Z?

I'm going to minitub my c5z and have the factory rear 18x10.5's widened to 18x12 so I can move from a 315 to a 335 rear tire. The first thing I noticed is the rims would likely contact the factory rear leaf spring. To fix that, I'm going coilover in the back likely. The next thing is the wheel rim hitting the upper control arm on full droop, I could limit travel with a cable or something, but going with a shorter extended length shock is another. My car isn't lowered much yet, but I do want to maintain travel as much as possible.

For comparison, my Koni 3013-1024's are 18.3 overall length (to the top of the 2.55" pin top) and 14.1 compressed.

Does anyone have some good data I can use before I make my purchase?

Default Mini tub

I have tubbed three cars. One is stock suspension, the other has coil overs. I can measure the backspace of my wheels if you would like that info.
The place I had interference with was the bottom of the lower control arm.
Both cars are lowered.

So you guys are modifying the frame rail to tub the rear? Why not just run a flared rear quarter panel and push the wheels out wider? I cut out the rear inner fender liner next to the frame and that's it. Actually I ran 335's in back for years with stock quarter panels and had no issues except cracking a rear quarter panel one time when I went off track and hit some big dips.

Yes, I won't have to notch the frame, but modify the liner and possibly the wheelwell. I could go with flares, but prefer to keep the car narrow for autox and landspeed.

Thanks for the info on which control arm.

+74mm 18 x 12 HRE 545 here.
Run 345 & 335s on a 97' C5 with stock F45 suspension w/o issue at VIR & CMP. Only hitting was at full droop on the lift. No issue other than that. I modded stock liners and they worked until I got a set of Lingenfelters tub liners from a part out car for a resonable $$$

Build the dampers so that they have less droop than stock. There is way more than necessary on the factory pieces.

Make sure compression and droop are at least equal...
