Default Best Rear Tires for 600rwhp

I have a C7 with a novi 1500, on 8psi making around 600rwhp. What would be the best rear tires to go with on the street? I want something that will hook pretty well on the street but will last a decent amount of time. I know some guys with c6's that run drag radials on the street, is this a good idea? How many miles could I expect out of radials on the street? Any suggestions? Thanks!

with 600+ HP there is no tire that you will no be able to break loose but, your best option may be a tread r-compound tire like the Pilot Sport Cup or a drag radial. By design drag radials have a very soft sidewall and do not corner very well so, street driving them can be a handful if you like cornering.

In warm weather we just leave our Nittos NT05 R drag radials on all the time. They ride/drive just as good as our Michelin Pilot Super Sports as long as they are kept at about 35psi, but you should only air them down at the drag strip and then pump them back up for street driving. They are even ok in the rain as long as you are careful. As for mileage it's hard to say but this is our 2nd summer with them and we usually drag race at least once a week.
