69 Corvette Project For Sale New Jersey 350/350 HP 4 Speed Car
For sale is a 1969 Corvette Stingray. I purchased this Corvette about 3 years ago with hopes to restore. I now realize that I don't have the space or the time to restore car. This Corvette has the original numbers matching 350 engine. Engine code is HW which is a 350 L46 with 350 HP. This corvette also has the original 4 speed transmission with correct matching numbers. Transmission identification code is B which is a Muncie 4 speed M21 close-range (2.20:1 1st gear). Car also has the original rear end date coded 10 29 69. The rear code is AO which is 3.70:1. The body build code is November 11, 1969. The original color of this Corvette was Fathom Green. Car is currently Black. The original interior color was Saddle (Tan). The interior of the car currently Gun-metal except for the seats, they are tan. When I purchased this car the engine ran and the transmission shifted fine in all gears. The transmission seemed a little tight to shift though. I backed this car into my garage about 3 years ago to do some work on the brakes and replace the brake calibers when, I noticed that the frame rail on the back drivers side of the car near where the trailing arm bolts in was rusted through. I had a neighbor weld a patch on the frame rail for me. I then started thinking that maybe I shouldn't trust the integrity of the frame because there are areas of the frame you can't see with the body on. Car is currently up on jack stands in my garage. The wheels are off the car and the brake calibers are removed. I am leaving it up on stands so anyone interested can look the bottom of the car over. Also the motor has an oil leak down by the oil pan probably due to setting. Car is complete except for the brake calipers, I have new ones I am including in this sale. I am asking $9500.00. Car has a clean New Jersey title and it is titled in my name. I also have a lot of parts for this car that I will offer for sale to buyer.

The rest of the body is original. These are pics of the 69 Corvette when I first got it about 3 years ago. Before I backed it into my garage to work on the brakes and that's when I noticed the rust on the frame.

Interesting.....
Interesting nice project for someone!
The original parts are a big plus, plus a 69, that is very good.
One of the Big questions is the extent of the frame & bird cage rust I think for a potential buyer.
What are the 3 rust photos of ?
1. bottom of frame kickup repair, got that.
2. bottom of front Vee support under the rad support, I see the sway bar and tire, I almost got it.
3. the radiator frame support.
So, if you could get a list of what all the frame and bird cage needs that would be helpful. Maybe get a C3 knowledgeable person to help? Ck local Corvette clubs or NCRS up your way? Pay them if they want, likely nominal. Miller lights is the currency of choice for me. So, is a new frame in order or just repairs?(lots of frames get repaired with some pretty ugly sections).
You could photo behind the kick panels and more of the frame to help potential buyers. Check searches here for where to look for frame rust. Pull off the inside windshield molding and check frame around windshield.
Also try to determine if ever in an accident and if panels have been repaired or replaced.
Hope this helps and already got one project, Wifey would hurt me (again) if I brought this home, I think you are in the ball park on a project price. Say, add up all of the items needing help with estimated material cost, no labor costs for the easy things , check ebay for completed sales and see what selling prices might be in great condition then determine your selling price. I would hate to see you part it out since you have the original motor and trans. Hope this might help, my 2 cents, Ha!

I looked around the front windshield. It doesn't look that bad. There is some surface rust starting to form under the bottom of the windshield near the corners. I never removed the trim or interior pieces around the windshield.

I have a few parts I picked up for the car. I was going to sell them separate to the person that buys the car if they were interested in them. I will take some pics of the parts. I have an original steering wheel. I also have a spare frame from a 71 Corvette 4 speed that is in decent shape I was going to have restored for this car. As for the mechanicals the engine did run about three years ago when I backed her in my garage. I know there is now an oil leak coming from the oil pan or possibly
the main rear seal. The trans shifted and grabbed in all gears . However it was very hard to shift. That is about all I know.
