1975 Corvette (Red) with Performance oriented 496 (Chicago area)
I am selling my 1975 Corvette. This car has 23,000 original miles. I did a pretty significant restoration on this car. It is not perfect, but much of the major work has been done and can be made to be very nice or used as a hot rod, which was my intention.
I have addressed most of the major areas have and the car only needs a new owner to finish the last 10% or so. I just have too many projects to finish this and also have other toys that distract me from enjoying this car. The following is an overview of the restoration work that I have done
Fresh performance oriented Big Block 496 (less than 500 miles)
Complete rebuild
New crank, rods & pistons
Block fully re-worked
New Brodix heads
Both moderate and aggressive cams
Performance Manifold and Holley 850 - custom tuned
Rebuilt T-10 4 speed Transmission
Hurst Shifter
New Center Force clutch
Custom performance exhaust (not loud, just efficient)
Needs some tweaking to avoid contact with frame
Front end completely rebuilt (incl. new springs and shocks)
Rebuilt ALL steering components, including steering box
Could really use the upgrade here and still battling a slight leak
Restored interior
Seats recovered
New carpet
Batter y box reinforced
Sealed Heater Box and removed AC
Bird cage repaired
All corrosion replaced & no rain exposure since
Steering column rebuilt (didn’t replace all components at that time and have additional parts to complete)
New windshield
Complete, professional paint job 4 years ago and in garage since
New, aftermarket L-88 hood with raised scoop (tasteful)
To accommodate Edelbrock manifold
Aluminum wheels
Still needs:
Rebuilding of rear suspension
No noticeable problems other than the soft spring
New mirrors
Misc. interior finishing work
Minor paint repair (few chips and one headlight door)
Round Headlights (previous owner converted to rectangular)
New tires
Wiring troubleshooting in turn signal circuit
Some TLC
Send email for pictures. Looking for $15,000
