74 conv project, Los Angeles CA $7,800 OBO
I am assisting my friends widow in selling a car. I will handle the transaction and be indemnified with the sale. I am usuallly on the C1/C2 side. I have permission from the Mods and Vettebuyer. I am an NCRS master judge (C2) so I am new to C3's , but I have experience in Corvettes and their issues.
The car is a 74 convertible. Silver with black leather interior. 350 cu in. Power brakes, power steering, 4spd, power windows , AC. No hard top. Engine is NOT ORIGINAL, its a 010 350cu in with TRJ suffix, dated Dec 71.
The car has been sitting in a garage for about 20 yrs, so brake system, fuel system and cooling system need to be gone through. The gas tank is not sludgey....still clear fuel. The frame is excellent, no rust issues. Same with bird cage. Front fenders have been at least repaired at some point. One may have been replaced, but it was done with an OEM press molded part if at all. Hard to tell at the momment since its an excellent repair. I can get further clarification in a few weeks. Rear quarter panels are original, no repairs. Doors shut excellent.
Front and rear bumpers have deteriorated to bits. We have new bumper covers but they would need to be painted. The paint itself is a 10 footer. The car has been repainted at least once. There is some fiberglass damage on right front fender, about a 3 inch crack and another 2 inch abraision, same fender.
Interior was removed to install new leather seat covers, and car parked. Nothing was done after that. Has a full length up and down crack on windshield. I have all of the major parts that go with the car.
I need to get the VIN number to verify what original engine was. Trim is 404....Blk leather, paint is 4L....I could not find code, but only evidence of color is silver.
I can see if motor turns, get better photos and answer any questions better in a few weeks. All in all a solid NOM car with lots of options in a great color combo. Photos to follow by 65hihp....thx Don
Asking $7,800 or best offer.
