Seems to have a lot of 1972 items on it for a 1971.

reversing lights are crosshatch prisms
lights, radio, indicator switches
pedals
park lights
etc

All point to it being a 1972 what does the VIN say?

not to say its not a great looking car at a good price.

Hi V,
I noticed the radio ***** too.
But a 72 wouldn't have the fiber-optics, and a 72 would have a std. alarm… this car doesn't have an alarm.
I also believe 'later' 71 cars had the checkerboard back-up lens you spotted.
It doesn't appear there's a retractor on the male side of the seat belt which indicates a 71.
So, I'm thinking 71 at this point.
