69 coupe 4 speed - Frame-Off Restored Immaculate!
*SOLD*
1969 Corvette t-top coupe.
Brief synopsis of this stunning ’69 Corvette: Original owner passed away in the 70s leaving it to his wife where she did some tacky modifications, It was later painted over the “Velvette” lettering above rear fenders. This corvette sat for years in the 80s/90s inside a barn in NY state. Original engine was not included in the sale to the first restorer. Body & interior was completely stripped and body pulled off the frame. Restorer #1 started a frame off restoration & later ran out of money for restoration which is when I purchased this corvette project, took over and completed the restoration.
Frame – Complete frame off restoration completed ~4,000 miles ago. Frame was fully sandblasted, repaired at doglegs from small rust area & completely repainted. Eastwood Internal frame coating was applied inside frame rails for further corrosion resistance, all new suspension components, nuts/bolts/hardware, composite rear leaf spring, bushings, etc. Stainless steel fuel lines along with new fuel tank and sending unit. Steering box was rebuilt with stainless flex joint coupler.
Body – Fiberglass body repaired in 2 small locations (trunk deck & door edges), completely block sanded for mirror smooth finish, painted in Ferrari red (Rosso Corsa) with House of Kolor black sparkle pearl hood stinger, re-chromed front & rear bumpers, Ecklers L-88 long hood (wiper door system eliminated), new emblems, new taillights, new taillight wire harness, rear fender flares molded into body, roll pan below bumpers blended into body for seamless look, new headlights, new sidemarker & parking lights, OEM chrome side vent inserts.
Engine – Blueprint 355 - dynoed at 417 HP to the crank, Edelbrock air gap intake manifold, Edelbrock carburetor, MSD distributor, MSD 6A digital ignition control, Dewitt aluminum radiator, upgraded alternator, new engine wire harness, completely new headlight vacuum hoses & diaphragms. Engine was professionally tuned by Maryland Speed & Performance. Allens stainless steel OEM sidepipe exhaust with Paragon OEM sidepipe chrome covers (loud but not too obnoxious). Always ran premium fuel and changed oil with engine manufacturer spec.
Transmission & Rear End – rebuilt 4spd manual munchie & rebuilt 3.08 rear end, New clutch, steel flywheel, all new Spiker u-joints on driveshaft & flexshafts.
Wheels & Tires - Brand new recently installed 15x8 front and 15x10 rear rally wheels with new trim rings and reconditioned metal OEM derby center caps. BF Goodrich 275 rear and 225 front tires.
Interior – Birdcage/A-Pillar RUST FREE & POR-15 anti-rust paint applied for future corrosion resistance. New dash wire harness installed. Sound deadening material installed throughout entire inside & door panels prior to interior being re-installed. New black cut pile carpet from Auto Custom Carpets. All new interior components from Corvette America installed including: lower/upper dash, center/parking brake console, t-top center & t-top pads, door panels, door handle controls, t-top & door weatherstripping, door hinge springs/exterior handles/key lock cylinders, ’77 steering wheel with saddle leather, saddle OEM vinyl seat covers mounted over sandblasted & repainted seat frames, saddle colored seatbelts. Custom audio rear compartment wall with 6.5” JL Audio speakers, 5 channel JL Audio amplifier, 10” W3 JL Audio subwoofer mounted behind passenger seat in custom fiberglass enclosure, 5.25” JL Audio component speakers mounted in front kick panels & Alpine Bluetooth cd/mp3 player. Viper alarm system with LCD 2 way remote control installed prior to interior re-assembly.
Car has not seen rain/snow/salted roads. Always stored in the garage and put away in winter months after the roads receive salt treatment. During winter months, battery tender continuously tricle charges the battery & the car is started up once every two weeks to clear out the carb from gas clogging the system.
Items needing attention: As the weather gets warmer and as time allocates, I will tackle as much of these as I can. passenger door lock gets "sticky" at times when using the key. New reverse light switch needs to be hooked up. Side windows need aft adjustments (doesn't meet t-top weatherstripping perfectly). Reverse lockout cable needs assistance by turning steering column prior to removing ignition key.
Over $51,000 invested between myself and restorer #1 not including hundreds of manhours. *SOLD* *SOLD* *SOLD* Will consider trades for a ’69 Chevelle.

The rear subwoofer enclosure behind the seat is not permanent in case the new buyer doesn't like a little bass.
MDF enclosure in the early construction phase:
Fiberglassed the speaker ring to the actual enclosure:
smooth it out with body filler prior to covering with carpet:
Carpeted from the local upholstery shop who does phenomenal work
Fits inside the rear compartment pretty good
All done, time for some good tunes on the radio!

Have a favorite cd you enjoy listening to? Perhaps an MP3 track on your phone/mp3 player? No problem at all with an Alpine CDE-138BT headunit.
Radio wiring harness had spade connectors soldering on which connected to the OEM dash radio harness easily - absolutely no splicing of wires on the new dash harness was done.
Sits nicely inside the repainted original gauge/radio bezel. And the sound...simply amazing! No longer limited to AM/FM radio only...

Chrome bumpers front & rear, bumperettes and hockeysticks were all sent out for re-chroming. Rear license plate surround was replaced with a new one. While the side vent inserts were polished up to a high gloss finish (no dulling in the center sections).
Re-chromed rear bumper re-test fitted prior to final paint:
