That's a sharp looking diecast but $215 for a 1:24th scale seams to be a bit on the pricey side to me.I could see if you have a 1:1 of that I'd pay it but I think it would be better if in 1:18th scale or even 1:12th for that price.

Hi
I was buying the Phil Mint vettes until l saw them selling on Ebay at approx 30% off what l paid and less. And l'm talking about some that are over 15 years old.
Bummer

The car is very nicely done. It has everything from a hardtop that snaps in (unlike the Franklin Mint convertibles) and great detail (for instance the parking brake). In terms of the price, I really thought it was reasonable. The ones on e-bay are going for about 10-15 dollars less, but they are open. I would rather spend the extra few dollars and get one that I know I won't have any problems with.
And yes I do wish it was a Big Block Coupe!

Nice car. But for a 1/24th scale?? I'd have to own the 1:1 as well to spend that much on such a little car.
BTY - I don't consider 5000 to be limited edition. Also, I learned a lesson in diecasting - they'll do like all the other manufacturers and make 100,000 more in different colors like Exoto has done with the Grand Sports.

Danbury Mint makes one of the nicest diecast models on the market. Philly is a little pricey but some of the years are getting hard to find. I have bought all of mine off Ebay for cheaper prices than Philly. You just need to wait it out. I'm sorry that they stopped production of such a fine line of collectibles.

If you guys didn't pull the trigger on this one, you missed out BIG TIME!!! I just sold mine for $2,000.00!!! lol I guess there are not that many left in the world that are in Mint condition, and have all of the original paperwork, and packaging. Mine was one of them. I cashed out on top!
If you got two grand for one you got very lucky AND found a real sucker. They rarely top $200 on Ebay anymore and many of them have developed paint rash over the years.
