Found this in a home goods store, everybody loves a 67 big block. This is why corvettes are made of fiberglass and not sheet metal.

Two assembly line components from the C5 assembly line:
1) Component which aligns / places the C5 logo on the rear hatch
2) Component which aligns / places one of the headlamp door / cover

I also have Robin Pratt's embroidered C5R race jacket

Never offered for sale. Mattel made a limited number and donated them to Make-A-Wish for promotions.

Cool Thread

Here one of my special things. One pre model of the never built 1967 427 GMP 1:18.
I think only three pre models were built. This one with the 66 fender and back, but everything else is 1967, like engine, hand brake, alus. Have also the soft top and a certificate of Tom Long, owner of GMP

I have 3 standouts 2 are either extremely rare or unique and the other one has historical significance.

This is a GMP 1/12 C5-R in black chrome. This is a replica of the Dale Earnhardt, Dale Jr, Andy Pilgrim and Kelly Collins C5-R #3 that was raced at the 2001 Rolex 24 hours at Daytona. This model was never released to the public, and made especially by GMP for members of the Corvette Racing team, and only 36 were made. I happened to acquire this earlier this year after a nice chat with someone who was involved with the Corvette Racing program during the C5-R tenure.

This next one is unique. Autoart made C6.R's for the 2005, and 2007 season and that was it, which is a shame because the C6.R had some great victories. However, Autoart made a plain yellow body C6.R released in 2005 with about 3000 produced worldwide. The gentleman I purchased this from earlier this year, had transformed this car into the 2008 C6.R that raced at Le Mans that year, with all the appropriate sponsor decals, logos, driver names, etc. I never found out how much time he spent making this but, I knew it was painstaking and tedious to capture all that detail. After getting my hands on it, I know I'm not an expert but, I'd swear you'd take one look at it and think it came direct from Autoart that way. It really is that good.

The last one is my personal favorite, maybe it's because I watched it live with history in the making as to why I hold it in such regard.

After a year and half of the C5-R racing program taking on the Viper, the C5-R had yet to achieve a victory against the Dodge, and that all changed on Sept 2nd, 2000. With a margin of 3 laps, driver's Ron Fellows and Andy Pilgrim piloted the Corvette to victory at the Texas Motor Speedway and mark the beginning of the end of dominance by the Vipers. Autoart made a 1/18 replica of the car that won that very race, and I'm proud to own it with both of the drivers signature.

H. Hargrove has painted hundreds/if not thousands of paintings. He made 5 paintings with the Corvette in them. I have all 5 of his Corvette paintings.

The very first Corvette "Real McCoy" Evolution poster from the early 70's.

I've only seen 3 of these in about 25 years.
