jetske,
Again that display setup and the rest of the area looks great.
I am curious if the area near my furnace could be pulled apart and reset to get the same effect. I don't have a basement .
That pool table is nice too!

Just locked in on the E-Bay 56 SR2 roadster. Should have it in a few days. I got the blue . Thanks for the info. Nice display area I just bought one of those Wurlitzers. They really dress up any room.

Jetske,
Very, very nice setup. I am in the process of doing my basement and have an area that I want to build some display cabinets.
Coca Cola/Corvette themed. Hope they turn out half as nice!
I am also torn about emptying mine. They have been packed safely away since moving almost 15 years ago.

Here is a link to my web site that shows a list of all the Regal China Jim Beam Corvettes, the years they were produced, and comments about Limited Edition and IAJBBSC editions: http://www.jetsvettes.com/collection...s_beamlist.htm[/QUOTE]
Hi....What does IAJBBSC stand for? Are they "supposed" to be worth more money?
Thanks for the info in advance.....

It stands for International Association of Jim Beam Bottle and Specialties Club. It is an International Collectors club that specializes in Jim Beam Decanters and other collectibles. They have an annual (or nearly annual) convention. They do create some decanters and other collectibles to commemorate these events. They are individually numbered and made in limited quantities. In the early 90's they made a Corvette SR-2 decanter, one of which I purchased last year. Nice piece. Are they worth more than the other decanters offered over the years? Well, there were fewer made; so probably. It all depends on how desirable they are. They are worth what someone is willing to pay for them.

The first run of Jim Beam Corvettes was done by Regal China from 1984 - 1992. Regal China went out of business in 1992 and some of the rarest (some never filled) Jim Beam Corvettes came from the end of this era.
There are two schools of thought around "to drain or not to drain". Personally I drain all of mine. Over time these decanters can crack and seep. It's not only a mess, it devalues the decanter. A full decanter seems tantalizing in terms of value, but I don't think it adds anything.
