The car raced a lot at the now closed Hollywood Drag strip. In the 80's it raced at Moroso motorsport Park in west palm it won a 5 day championship tournament at Moroso park in 1985. (ET 1 record) what ever that means. Found some tags and tickets in the glove box from 1971 to 1974 from drag strips in norfolk virginia and the carolinas from 1975 to 1979 pretty neat stuff.

Finally brought her home in Chicago. Pretty cold here in the single digits, big change from 80's in hollywood FL!! Yes I put 3 galons of anti- freeze in the motor before bringing it up, they run water in FL

Looks like a factory A/C car with a "glide and telescopic steering?

Man that Vette is way cool. Old drag Vette's are the stuff I would just clean it up and leave it alone. Looks cool with the fender flares to clear the big tires. (motor wheel fly's) I noticed it had the deep groove moroso alt. pulley on it also. When I was growing up here in Pa. there was loads of drag vette's around. I'm close to Maple Grove, Pa. I'm glad you saved it & good luck with it Pipe
