Default Dragway in Myrtle Beach ReOpening??

I'm hearing the dragway that use to operate somewhere around Myrtle Beach, SC is re-opening in 2008 as a 1/8 mile track. Does anyone have any information on this or even on the facility before it closed its gates a few years ago. I don't even know the exact location of the facility so any information would be helpful.

I live in Myrtle Beach and read about it in the paper about a month ago, nothing definite. I will post more when I get more info.

When did you move down there? Is this permanent or are you a snowbird?

It should be open with in the next couple months. I know the operators of the track real good. I have even held a couiple events there when it was open. I was at the county council meeting. They said they aporved it and I was even on the news the other week doing a interview about it. the track was a rough track. They did well over one million dollars worth of work with no permits. This shut them down. The track is a very smooth and nice track. I have raced on the new surface. It will reopen soon.
