There is NO challenge at all. Even my car which I slow down to run 11.50's is not a challenge AT ALL to drive down the track. Simply do a good burnout, launch and mildly steer with one finger. You could drink your Slurpee while going down the track. That's what makes the C5/6 A4/6 an awesome drag car.

The challenge with respect to bracket racing, is cutting a good light, and playing a good top end game.

I couldn't agree more... 100% ...

Eric... could you "Imagine" how tough it would be if there were 7 or 8 drivers who could "HIT" the tree as good as me...

I got the 60' into the 1.7's for the first time this trip. I'd like to get it into the 1.5-1.6 range, but it's hard to keep the RPM's high enough to get out of the hole hard w/o spinning... I didn't bog on this one, but it defnitely feels like the car would 60' better if I got through the first few thousand rpm of acceleration faster.

Any suggestions or comments?

Excellent runs, with big MPH in the traps !!!

I'm helping a couple other guy's in other threads as well, but if I might make a suggestion....

IF you are looking for the best ET you can get, switch to a C5 Z06 17x9.5 front wheel and get a set of 275/40/17 or 315/35/17 Hoosier drag radials. These tires are about as sticky as you can get for a DOT tire, weigh a considerable amount less than the 19x12/345 NT05R combo you are using, and are a bit shorter to help your rear gearing.

Your ET will come from your 60' and 1/8 splits, so that's where you need to concentrate your energy and effort.

Last weekend, I took a basically stock C6 Z06 with 60K miles on the stock original clutch into the 10's with these Hoosiers....oh, and a DA of +2028 ASL

I pulled consistent 1.59's on 3 out of the 5 passes (got booted ), and on my last pass, if I hadn't short shifted the 3-4 shift, may have gone into the high 10.80's (ran 10.97).

Speedworld Dragstrip 11/11/2011

60.1* , 29.88 in Hg barometric pressure, 41% humidity
Density Altitude: 2028 feet
Relative Density: 94.2 %

10.9504@128.71 MPH on a 1.5987 60'

Backup pass would've been faster still, as I had a PB on the 60' (1.5934) and a faster 1/8 split and better MPH than my previous run, but I short shifted 3-4 on this run.
I didn't run it out the back door for this pass, so that's why the MPH is down 5+ MPH...

10.9706@123.32 MPH on a 1.5934 60'.

Please note that the 315/35/17 M/T's rub on the outer edge of the fender on standard c6's...on the wide body they fit great and I find they have better traction than the 275's.

Yep.....if I hadn't gotten such a great deal on the 315's I would have purchased the 275's even for my Z, as they are a touch bit lighter and I haven't had traction issues yet.....but I don't have your higher RPM launch.

I notice a surprising difference, the 315's help my launch quite a bit. I'll spin 275's when 315's bite with the same high rpm launch.

But looking at your video I noticed a couple of things you might try to change.....pull around the water & then back into the water box keeping water off of the front tires which may eliminate some moisture getting back on the rears after your burnout........it it appeared (not sure) you stayed in the water box for your burnout, not good, again water is sprayed up into the wheel wells and then drips on the newly burned out rear tires as you pull up to the lights.

I am not an expert, but just thought I noticed a couple of things that might help you getting hooked up better.
