S. Fla PBIR 1/4? Weather Looks Great
Looks like we have the first good cold front coming through Monday...Wednesday looks to be a dry, cool evening.
Several of my Horsepower Sales Vette buds are heading up to take advantage, would love to see a lot of Vettes there.

I have a business meeting in Riviera Beach around 4pm. Spoke to Roger and he will see if he can make the arrangements I emailed you about. If he can get that settled, I'll see you there.

Now THAT IS GOOD AIR.. anyway on my budget I'm going to see what I can do to be able to run 11.50 index even in the summer heat..I'll be working with Cartek as soon as "Obama" sends me my income tax refund....

Weather looks good...though not record setting by any means.
Wunderground shows temp at 6 pm to be 55 degrees, dew point 39, humidity of 55%. That's pretty humid.
But, not bad by FL standards!

I just got off the phone with my buddy Arnold who lives right by MIR. I need to go up there and make a run or two to see what my car can really do.

Ranger told me he is staying in Maryland for a couple months or more, playing at the track. Maybe when he comes back we could work up a Rental. That would be cool for us all to hook up

Last year when I ran my fastest time the humidity was 34%...super low dew point for us. That's the key it seems of the DA calc...we get 50's maybe 10 times a year, but low dew point, that's a lot harder to get!

Joe, I don't have my new clutch in yet..kind of bit the dust in Bowling Green. It is still streetable but once it is hot it shifts terrible. I have a new Tex OZ700 still in the box ready to go in. I was scheduled to swap it out (my buddy has a lift) but decided to go to MIR instead.

Went to work this morning in the vette, temp gauge said 43 degrees in Ft Pierce. You guys should be able to break some personnel best this week. I am still waiting for my tire drag pack.Need a lil more $$$.
Joe correct me if I am wrong, with these cold temp does the air/fuel ratio lean out more or get richer? Throttle response this morning was great.

Colder air is more dense, more oxygen, so more fuel can be burned, so we have more power!
That's why the drag race rats know to look for cold weather to hit the track. Below a certain temp the track will not hook, but usually if the track temp is above 50 it's ok...and if the dew point is high enough to keep the track from sweating with dew. That's the trick in FL...our dew points (which drive the humidity %) never dip that low.
