Default 4000lbs + 1000hp + 4L60e = 8.94@154mph and a new 5th gen record

This saturday at the Camaro5 event in Indianapolis we set a new ET record for a IRS 5th gen with one of our Level 7 4L60e transmissions. We ran 8.943@154.5mph. This car was bought new by us and been a work in progress for a while, but were finally getting some track time. The car weighs 4000lbs and makes 1000+hp with a Warhawk LS block 427ci engine, Allpro 285 LS7 heads, Beck intake and a single stage of nitrous. It is a full weight street car with full factory stock interior, working a/c, factory radio and stock brakes up front with C5 brakes in the rear to clear the 15" rear wheels. The car has full 3" exhaust/mufflers out the back. The factory PCM is still used and tuned by the BEST ... Roadrebel, if it wasn't for him we couldn't do any of this. We use a AEM AQ1 for data logging including individual cylinder 02's and several pressure sensors. This car is running the same Level 7 4L60e internals that many of you guys are running in your cars and trucks. The transmission is controlled by a PCS controller and is auto shifting.... yes it still retains overdrive. This is a true testament to the abilities of our 4L60/70e transmissions. This transmission has over 70 full passes and many more partial test passes on it with only one minor issue, which happened on the dyno. We have seen zero hard part failures. The rear IRS driveline parts including axles and driveshaft are all from The Driveshaft Shop, I can't say enough good things about Frank and his guys. The nitrous controller used and is a masterpiece is LPE's new NCC-001, thank LPE. Here is the video of the 8.94 pass.

We will see you guys at Bowling Green and plan to lower the record even more !

Honestly "THAT" is the reason I have kept my 05 ... because of the "A4" it's stock and no work has been done to it, but I'm planning some motor upgrades, and when I do ... I "WILL" be in-touch with you guys...

Maybe I'm "old school" but I had a chance to sell my 05 and get an 07,,, The reason I didn't was the "A6" I just don't trust them...

I've been racing my A4 since 2007 almost every week during the racing season and its like a "TIMEX" .... "Takes a Lickin & Keeps On Tickin" I love my "A4"

Wow, that's impressive. Especially with how stock it appears. I know what it takes to make those cars go fast and it isn't easy.

Rodney you guys killed it out there! 1.366 on a full weight Camaro is AWFULLY impressive. Great build and great times!

We were running over to catch some photos before the finals started, but the rain started instead. I sure would have loved to see the final exhibition race!
