REDLINE MOTORSPORTS RACE SERIES for GM LS Platform rides coming to PBIR in SE.Florida
“Redline-Motorsports - Drag Race Series”
Find yourself Missing a series of days gone by?
Enjoy Fun and Good Times for all you motor heads, enthusiasts or hobbyist’s,
whether you chose to participate, or spectate and smell the HP fueled adrenaline rushed air!
Along with meeting up with or making new friends with like vehicles,
to calling out your buddy to line up against and racing them.
You’re sure to enjoy both the camaraderie, brushing off the rust,
learning a new thing or two, and of course the competition should you desire!
Beginning early October when heat and humidity are usually expected to calm down here in the Southeast,
it will be time to “get it on” with your GM LSx Platform brethren. Open to all LS platform rides!
ie: FOOTBRAKE ONLY FULL BODY CARS, NO TRANS.BRAKES, OR DELAY BOXES, and NO ELECTRONICS ALLOWED! (pending, and would be separate Class)
OPEN TO: ‘97+Corvette, ‘98+ F-Body & GM Truck, ‘04+ GTO, G8, Hummer, Gen 5 V8 Camaro's, and t/b/d V8 Platform LS?
6.0, & ‘04+ Caddy CTS-V,
We're even thinking on an LSx "with Electronics" class, so those folks can mix it up with each other too!
Now after you “Tech in” at the Drag Strip end of the track by the return road,
you’ll line up in the two designated staging lanes offered by a recognizable Redline coordinator.
Two time shots down the track, and later you may participate in a bracket race
where you’ll “dial in” your time on your vehicle, and the coordinators will then pair you off.
When called to the line from the staging lanes, you will do your best to “cut a light”,
and whether being chased by a faster car, or playing catch up to a slower car,
one of you will win and move on to the next round until there is one winner, You!
If you just want to make time shots to get your best reaction time (R/T), 60 ft, 1/8th Mile,
¼ mile and MPH time slips,
just line up behind racers competing in our group,
and you’ll get another time shot after the race groups run off,
as the field whittles down to the last two racers.
Trophy for the winner and runner up, Bragging rights, and Refund of admission to the Winner!
This Redline-Motorsports Race Series will be geared for the Street registered and driven to the PBIR track,
LS platform car or truck to run every 5-6 weeks or so beginning in October,
but not in the Heat of the Summertime.

Very cool Rick. I'm thrilled this series is trying to make a come back. I wish you the best of success with it.
Only thing I'd like to see is no model year limit. I'd like to see it open to any door car/truck powered by an LS/LQ engine.

Hey Rick, sounds like fun. I would like to make one suggestion about a date to maybe avoid. It may not effect many in your area. It is the NMCA LSX Series finale - NMCA Indiana / LSX Shootout – Lucas Oil Raceway – Indianapolis, IN – October 9-12.
I wish I lived closer or if the weather is kicker me around up here, you may see me down there.
Good Luck and Have Fun!!!
Redline was there when I needed then when I was at Bradenton 2 years ago. With out hesitation you guys came to the track to fix my tune for me to run.

We are happy to help out, as this is a lifestyle for us all here at Redline, not just a job.
Lol, no we don't want to step on that LSx meet, but this is more a fun gathering to "get out, and get it on" or just give your ride some exercise.
It's a great way to do both that and meet some wonderful, and like minded ladies and gentleman. I know I did just that from a couple plus years of Racing a similar past venue.
Takes one to know one B.T. You are appreciated
We look forward to this coming together, and again, we will keep all of you apprised as it unfolds...

Yes, open for discussion Capt, that is why you see the question mark right next to LS.

Thank you for the kind acknowledgement gent.

Can't wait!
My suggestions are, let's do this on a Saturday night. Even in the winter, it's so hot sitting in the sun sweating, plus a lot of us work on Saturdays. Nothing better than an evening of racing with plenty of BS'ing thrown in.
My second suggestion is to try to make this as open to as many racers as possible - I'd love to see some "tuner wars" come out of this. I'd like to see other marques allowed, so the Chevy shops could go against the Mustang shops or the Dodge shops. Perhaps that is not your intent on this first one, but from some experience speaking here, if we want an event to have a life and the track to keep doing it we will need to get car counts and spectator counts to a decent level.
Lastly, I would suggest we use a Index type of racing rather than bracket, once we see what cars show up. Index racing is like bracket racing except the tree comes down at the same time...which spectators (and me as a racer) much prefer. You still have to race at the stripe, but I like the fender racing aspect of it down in the final 320 feet.
My thoughts, but no matter what, I'm looking forward to the event and hope it becomes a series!

Thank you Corvette Mike.
As you're a PBIR stalworth, I'll look forward to your being involved.
Glad your Redline S/Charged Daily Driver had run so well, and looking forward to seeing it run with us......
We'll notify all, as it comes together gent.
Rapid I'm looking forward to this event - I have lamented the passing of our beloved Corvette Challenge and its offspring the GM Challenge. It was exactly what you said, a chance to meet other like minded folks and we all made some wonderful friends at those events...and the friendships continue to this day (including ours pal and Theofel above). When you are only racing for a trophy and bragging rights it's friendly.
Can't wait!

Yes Sir, alot to ponder there as this series comes to fruition.
Of course being a "try 'er out" get together at first, there is a little left on the table for the future.
As usual, your input is appreciated, as well as expected "Sparkdaddy!"

Bump to the top from a fellow New Yorker who used to race at E-Town in the Corvette Challenge. Now relocated in Florida, looks like there is a new place to go and play :-)
Thanks guys

Not a "Fattening" enough idea for PBIR thus far. "H" has chatted with them prior to, and after our recent two test sessions with the "No Punk" Gen5 Camaro. {A client from a few states away}
We'll post up if we can sort it out with them. Promise.
