Default C5 IRS Toes in during launch... need poly bushings???

I have been to the track testing my car a couple times now and I notice on videos that the rear suspension toes in quite a bit during the launch. As of now all the suspension bushings are stock. It does have Pfadt coilovers and drag sway bar but thats it as far as IRS setup goes, which do nothing for the aforementioned problem. However will adding aftermarket (poly) bushings be enough to tame this or am I at the point to where I need other parts?

Here are a couple vids showing the toe in at launch.

I have a youtube video of my C5 doing the same thing. I will search for it and post it. I had the camera just above the rear corner marker light. The rear tires toed in when I went on the converter at the starting line. Amazing, never knew this was happening.

I spoke to some people about it and they were not sure. The car tracks straight at 130mph. I have inspected all the parts, everything is normal. The rear cradle was out before the video and everything then looked normal.

Yeah my car drives/handles fine at high speeds. I think this will help traction a little for me at launch and if not I just want everything pretty solid at this point. Wasted energy when things like that move and IMO will hurt my reaction time a little.

My car does that too. I think most IRS cars do it.

I have poly bushing in my car.

I know you can get aluminum bushings. The ride will suffer, but it will help control the toe in. Jay (4drush) has the aluminum bushings.

Is there a link for the aluminum ones or who sells them?

Thanks

I have Mike@Thrust Performance strap rear of my car down about 2" for toe adjustment.

Forget what the numbers are strapped down vs normal, but they do change a little

Edit: Glad this subject came up, I do believe we need stronger tie rods as well, probably make some this winter

I believe Pfadt used to have them. Now that they're gone, I do not know of a source.

Reason why it toes in is because there is no tie rod assembly on the front side of the spindle to hold it in place. Hell you can turn it with your arms If you're strong enough with it off the ground.

This has been known for some time now....

The more power and grip the car has the worse it is. For a long time road racers changed out our bushings because not only would the car change under acceleration down the straights but also in the turns and under braking.

Polys will help but going spherical will kill all of it.

We have poly kits and the spherical a like. You can do the entire car, or just the rears as you need.

I have no idea why Brian hasn't changed his yet..........I might have to stress that to him a little more.
