Guesstimates on 1/4 ETs for my C4 383 stroker
I'm just trying to get some ideas on what kind of ET is reasonable to expect from a freshly built 383 stroker powering a 92 C4. The motor will be using 195cc LT-1 Trick Flow heads ported by Lloyd Elliott along with a ported 52mm TPIS throttle body. The cam specs are 241/249, .587"/.609" and 110 LSA. Compression is 11.25 to 1 using Mahle pistons and a Callies Dragon Slayer crank. I'll be using a modified 700R4 tranny with a 3400 rpm Vigilante converter and 3.73 gears. Tires are 315/35/17 Nitto NT555R. Finally, my tune is being done by Ed Wright. I'm a pretty solid driver so I know how to get a car down the track. Now, all that having been said, what kind of 1/4 mile times do you think I should expect to get out of this setup?

My Buddy Dino's 383 Stroker, 700R, 4.10 geared '91-C4 with full weight and full interior. Beautiful, and very similar mods as yours.
10.70's. and 10.60's in cooler air. Similar setup with a 3800 convertor.
Located in PSL, Fla.
You can see this car in this Corvette Forum thread here:

Mail order tunes in my experience always leave ET on the table-if you are not on a chassis dyno then you aren't as fast as you could be.
Mail order tunes are ok for initial start up and break in etc and street driving but it seems you are interested in running a number.
btw my 406 11.3 so far and mid 10's on motor come springtime after head porting and new cam/intake and carb.
No boat anchor

Suggesting I would only run 13 flat because of using a mail tune diminishes your credibility and is, quite frankly, insulting. Like I said, Ed Wright worked up a mail tune for my previous motor which was a VERY mildly modified LT1. For that car to run consistent 12.80s on street tires says both something about the depth of Ed's knowledge as well as the apparent shallowness of yours. Everyone knows a dyno tune is the way to go, that hardly qualifies as breaking news. I guess we'll never know just how quick my car woulda, coulda, shoulda been. But being the smart guy you are just use 12.80s as a baseline, then tell us how much a dyno tune is worth. BTW --- I'm also looking forward to the springtime. But what I'm REALLY looking forward to is you giving me a 2.5 second spot and racing me title for title. I've never even driven a 406 before let alone owned one. I guess there really is a first time for everything, isn't there?
I'm at a loss for words Lol.
Good luck at the track.
