Default Thought I'd Try the 1/4mi Today

My 2002 C5 is setup for the road course, suspension wise, but I threw some old drag radials on it today just to have some fun at the local dragstrip for street legals. With almost 700rwhp I couldnt hook and had to feather the throttle due to wheelspin but it was fun. Now im curious what she could do if I soften the suspension, put on skinnies and full slicks and actually launched it out the hole hard. Went 10.6 @ 134 with 1.68 being my best 60ft. DA was 1600ft. I usually trap 105-106 in the 1/8th but was trapping 103-104 today.

Vortech blown LS3, 4L65E/triple clutch Circle D 3200 stall tc with 3.42s

Nice run,But it seemed to bog a split second on launch and some thing with the 1-2 shift.Should have the tune looked at.

That's my right foot playing traction control lol. I spun off the line, let off and rolled back into the throttle. I data log most of my runs.

Put a bias-ply drag pack on that beast and you'll see high nines no doubt!

That's what I was looking at ZZOOM06. Gonna need a serious tire and having 295/30r18 toyo r888's up front don't help!

I witnessed this pass. He had to feather the throttle a bit. He was one of the quicker, if not quickest car I witnessed that day.

The car definitely has 9s in it. No need to do anything to the suspension, just put a good set of drag radials on it like some 295/45/17 ET street radials. Leave hard and if it doesn't break anything, 9s are in the bag.

I sure hope so! The 275/40r17 weren't cutting it. I have Doug Rippie road race shocks, c5 springs and c6z sway bars so you can see where launching hard might be a bit difficult but I'll definitely give it a shot. Hopefully with some bias plys slicks
