Well that's different. I agree with you would rather run 1/8 than 1000'. Everybody will be in the same boat. You have to remember where the finish line is. lol. The incremental numbers will be 330' to 1000' instead of 1000' to 1/4 so they won't be as tight. My Dodge should do well racing to 1000' as it would stay in 4th and not shift into 5th at the 1/4 mph cone. Good luck as I will be racing a bit closet to home at Lakeland.

Guys, I will be interested to hear how the 1000' works out. I wonder if OSW might try it someday.

FD...did you get your car issues figured out yet?

The 1000 wasn't that bad. I still prefer 1/8 or 1/4. But if they throw us that bone again once a year that's fine. Went red in round 2 -002.......

Garlits had spoken at-length about going to 1,000' for all classes 30 years ago (before speeds escalated to the point that many tracks are unsafe for today's nitro-powered vehicles), when he debuted the SR30 streamliner

and I recall my 1,000 E.T. being about 1.3 x the 1/8-mile time (at-least for MY junk)

not having any of my old log-books handy, is this what you found to be true?
