I ran a 93 for 10 years...it had an aftermarket 85mm throttle body, straight pipes back to stock mufflers with no cats and a chip for the fans to come on at 190 with a 160* thermostat...I ran 315x35x17 Nitto DR's at 18 to 22 lbs. depending on track conditions...I had a 3500 stall converter and launched at 1800rpm...
My average time was 13.40's in the summer and 13.30's in the winter...all time best was 13.12 on a cold winter day...I always raced it in 3rd gear...oh yeah, I had an aftermarket Dana 44 diff. for strength and 3:73 gears...I did have the K&N cut lid as well...
I typically left the line at 182* coolant temp...
My advice without seeing your time slip is to use as much rear tire pressure as possible without spinning...run in 3rd gear, not 4th...leave at an rpm as high as you can without pushing through the staging beams...the hardest hit on your DR's is to leave off idle...the higher rpm you leave at the softer the hit...seems backwards but it is not...
I used my vette as my daily driver but also put 150 passes at the drag strip every year...I drove daily on the Nitto DR's...good luck..
This was the vette I raced...

Sweet looking c4! Thanks for the advice about leaving a higher rpm the little research I did I thought leaving by flash in it would net best Et. I will try a higher rpm launch next time, I did have it in 3rd tho for every run. Ill be writing down this advice for use at the track next time thank you very much.
