A simple momentary push button on off switch on the console.

i ended up giving up very quickly and just do brakes stances. I believe ranger didn't have one installed and did nearly 700 passes or something like that with no drivetrain breaks so that was my piece of mind

I hold the switch down, pump the brakes, start the burnout. When I am nearing the end of the burnout, my finger comes off the switch. The throttle is still applied as the car moves forward. Let off the throttle and move up to the starting line.

If it works, you have no problem.

I had the same problem. I installed the Fastbird kit and it did just what you said, wouldn't hold the car from rolling even at an idle. I diagnosed everything and confirmed it had to be a bad solenoid, so against my better judgement I ordered another summit solenoid only because it fit with the pre-formed lines from Fastbird. I figured it would be extremely unlikely that I would get another bad one but I did, and had the same symptoms again. I sent the 2nd summit solenoid back and ordered a Hurst unit and it has worked excellent ever since with no issue. Evidently summit ordered a pretty large quantity of bad ones because I ordered the replacement summit solenoid 6 months after purchasing the Fastbird kit, and both the solenoids I received were defective.

I have the same problem, I am seeing a trend in it being the summit solenoid....Mine won't hold it thru the burn out....Hell, it won't even hold thru jacking the car up by the rear.

It sounds like we should all switch over to a Hurst.

Ok something I'm wondering about there's a kit that they use on mustangs that have two solenoids that mount to each lower brake hose going to the calipers . So there bypassing the abs module but why ?
And yes maybe time to try hurst.
