Push off kill switch on a C5?
Hey guys,
Still working on getting the new version of my C5 to the track but getting closer and I need to get a "PUSH TO OFF" electrical shut off but not sure which to get since this is still GM computer controlled with alternator etc.
I've been looking at Flaming River stuff but not sure which I need for my app.
Thanks in advance!

I was thinking about what I meant above, is it as easy as getting a push/pull switch and install it on the positive battery cable? If so that's great, but I'm a little worried that will definently be hard on the factory electronics, PCM, etc.? Or not?
I know some of you have cars that surely have this for ET vs be able to pass tech and hope to have some help.

2 pole switch will work if you wire the alternator output directly to the battery side of the switch.
I used a fused 4 gauge wire from the alternator to rear of car, but you may want heavier if running accessories. (I am race only)
I used Flaming River FR1003-2 and relocated the battery to the rear.

RecMech, that's the info I'm looking for, the FR1003-2 is what I was looking at as well. and my battery is relocated as well.
My plan was a 1/0 ga wire from positive from main fuseblock on pass inner fender to starter, then starter to FR1003-2 in back then obviously to the battery. I'm honestly not even sure where the main wire to the back of alternator goes, I'm assuming main pole on starter. Will this work?

Here's a quick drawing.. Alternator needs to be isolated from the car as shown, or it may keep the car running even with the switch off.
1/0 should be plenty for the main line.
