Default 2012 GS times ..first track event

Have been trying to get honest answers about what a Bone Stock 12 Gs Automatic should do at the track prior to me going. I started out with a couple of 12.80s and as I got use to the car handling the starting line I was able to get it to High 12.50s @ 114. I went up just to have fun which I did of course..but still would like to know if the car is in the ballpark or is it off ....would appreciate your experience with like minded car.....showroom stock, automatic, GY runflats....set to 30 psi, Trans left in Sport mode, traction off...no use of paddle....Thanks

I have the same car that I have been bracket racing this year. They usually run in the 12.20s to 12.40s at 115. However these times can be much slower depending on the weather and traction. I now have drag radials, vararam, 160 stat and a cartek tune. My car is now capable of high 11s at 118. I have run as slow as 12.60 in the heat this summer. Drag radials are a must if you plan on making regular trips to the track. A professional tune will add some power and make the trans shift much better, especially in sport mode when using the paddles.

A tenth or two is nothing. Weather and traction play the biggest part. A car can pick up or slow down a tenth in the same day.
