I was watching the safety crew in the background. Hopefully they used this as a training exercise. They unrolled the hose, one guy is standing in front of the car with the nozzle waiting for the fire suppressant which never comes. Then he grabs a pick and pokes a hole in the hood. Then holds it open against the latches instead of trying to open the thing. I wonder how why the mustang's fuel lines or nitrous lines seemed to be located near the front of the car. The owner did have a few seconds to try to open the hood when the fire was smoldering since he was familiar with the latching mechanism. He chose to disappear. Not sure if that would have helped.
