Default What would you run? 6spd, 3,42 gears... 17" ET Street R vs. 16" M&H 26x11.5-16

Hey guys I'm on the fence. I want a bias ply setup for my stock suspension, T56, 3.42 car. I'm not a class racer or anything more than 1-2x per year just for fun to get a number. They have these track days here in SoCal called "The Red List Group" that I want to hit just for fun but I want something that is forgivable and won't require shock tuning, or front skinnies. I would run a full slick no problem but I don't see anything in 26x11.5 from anyone.

I've only had the car at the track twice. First time with Hoosier R6 road race tires and I was 60'ing low 1.9x somewhat consistently lol, slipping the clutch off idle. The second time I wanted to see if I could run 10s so I grabbed some Hoosier 315/35/17 DR's which I could not get to hook at all. I made 10 passes (only 1 track outing) and could barely muster a 1.78 once (for my 11.3 @ 125 pass). All the rest were 1.9x - 2.x

I want to go with a set of 16x11" CCW rears and M&H 26x11.5 cheater slicks:

My 2nd option is to use a spare set of 17x11 rears and the new ET Street R's:

I want a tire that will get me into the 1.5x's and can maybe even hook on the street
