Thanks guys.
Paul, I guess technically, it's for sale, but only as a roller. I love this engine. I'd like a 69 Firebird to put this in and race.

Pete, congrats on a new best. can you post up some info on your combo. I'm running a 418 ls3 base motor. I had it out once and ran a 9.57 on the limiter last 100 feet. Had limiter set at 7800

Holy cow... 7800 on the limiter? What gear are you running?
My setup is an LS7 block with forged rotating assembly. LSX-LS7 heads milled down to 56cc. Brian Tooley cam. 255/266 670/632 on a 110lsa and 107 intake centerline. Comp short travel lifters and Trend pushrods.
Holley hi ram port matched to the heads. Dave Thornton at D&F did the head/intake work.
LS2 throttle body.
My converter is crazy loose. Reviewing the logs, the engine hits 4920rpm nbefore it registers 1mph of movement. On the T brake, with the 2-step disconnected, it goes to 7100.
This is through a stock gear ratio TH400 and 3.73 gears and a 28" tire.
According to the Wallace online calculator, I'm over 16% slip on the converter. I need to address that.

Im running 4.56 gear still with a 5500 converter. I'm running a cammotion low lash solid roller 260 276 720 lift so its gonna need some rpm. heads are trick flow genx 255's from total engine air flow. I can only fit a victor jr with no spacer under the hood so It may be restricting me a little. still need to fine tune it but I think I should be just about where you are running. I might drop the gear to a 4.30 to keep it at around 7800 through the traps with a little 28x9 slick.

I've followed along a bit with your posts on YB about the car. I didn't realize the gear you're running. That's a lot of gear. Woohoo!! I would think that a 4.30 would probably be better for longevity of everything.
Too bad you can't fit a spacer, I'm sure that would give you quite a bit of you could fit a 2" spacer in there.

yea i still will probably go with a 4.30. my nephew wants me to drop to a 4.11. Im looking for another hood to modify to raise the bulge yet still look like a factory BB hood. Then I''l add the spacer or go with a super victor and let this thing eat. Good Luck with your vette and a 69 bird with an LS would be cool.

Doing good Paul. Yes we will see you guys this season for sure. I should have this dialed in to run a 10.0 index this coming season and so should my nephew. He switching over to EFI right now and should be up and running this week.

Thanks all!
I hope to get to a bunch of the local 10.0h races in 2017... Work often seems to get in the way...

Congrats on the awesome performance. How much does the car weigh?
What is your method for dialing to a 10.0?

Thanks.
It weighs 3050 with me in it.
I tune it the same way most others do that have a DBW throttle.
