Default Is a M/T 3763x 315/60/15 pro radial on a C5 possible?

Hey guys,
Long story short, I'm going to try to compete in our local heads up "Radial" class for 2017 instead of "Small tire 28x10.5" class. They are allowing any size radial and most run the M/T 3754x 275/60/15 pro radial but I'd like to use as much rubber as possible so obviously the 315 is what I'm shooting for.
Anyone have any idea of whats required to get it to fit? According to the specs the diameter is my main concern at 29.9" - wondering if it'll hit the fuel tanks or some thing I'm not seeing.

Thanks,
Eric

Subscribing. I'd really like to hear from someone that's tried/done this fitment also. We're tubbed so we've got all kinds of room side to side but the height I think is going to be a problem. I'm worried the tire will not be able to be placed inboard enough to go completely up in the wheel well and the fender is going to come down on it. If it even gets that far into the installation. All the rims I've seen need about another inch or more of backspacing to properly place the tire in the wheel well. Like a 10" rim with 8.5" of backspacing.

It takes a ton of work to make them fit without having the back of the car all jacked up. I had to make a new tubular rear subframe and notch the frame in multiple places. new wheel wells too, but now the car will sit level 3" off the ground or higher depending on which hole I use for my shock mounts.

In short, it took me two years of working on it on and off.

That's what I was afraid of. I wonder if it would be any easier for me since we're tubbed already.

You still have to notch the frame in the front of the wheel well where it starts bending outward towards the rocker panel.

I've got the same "list of stuff needs modified" that you came up with other than the tubular subframe..... that sounds fun....
