First time with new c7 z06 vette to the 1/4
Ok, unless something different happens next time to the track my new car is broke or I am very skeptical about all the posts about 127 mph or better. I did spin off the line all 3 passes but normally your mph will still be about the same. 60' I could get off 345x30x19 nt05r drag radials was a terrible 1.84 (others were 1.9x) all 3 runs were 124 mph. Not exactly impressive for a 650hp car. Granted I need to learn how to drive it as I am use to driving my 69 chevelle with 700hp. Tried launching with tour, sport, track mode. At idle and smashing the peddle, foot brake to 1800rpm and agressive roll out. Small burnout and large burnout. In the vid you can see where I had to lift and hit the gas again. Other runs I drove through the spinning. Let me know your thoughts. Will take it to a dyno to see if I am short a little hp.
Actual time slip is
60' 1.91
330 5.13
1/8 7.64
mph 98.36
1000 9.79
1/4 11.60
mph 124.29

Thoughts:
1. I agree with you, learn how to drive that car
2. You're not gonna hook worth a bleep on a 19" tire...
3. see #1 (haha) not being mean spirited, but I know guys who've gone 10.80 in stock C7 Z06 set ups, so definitely get some seat time there bro...

I was able to run 10.90s with the stock Michelin SS in my 2016Z. You could definitely work on your burnout. After you roll through the water, stop when the pavement is wet from the previous burnouts but not in the water. Put the tranny in M in first with your foot on the brake. Bring the revs up quickly and the rears will start to spin. When the tach reaches around 5500 shift into second and give it more gas since the motor will tend to bog at that point. After a couple more seconds at 5500, lighten up on the brake pedal and the car will roll forward with the tires still spinning. I race in touring with all nannies off (some just turn traction control off) and footbrake to 1600. Others have had good luck leaving at idle. You'll have to experiment. Good luck and have fun.

You definitely needs some practice, and a good prepped track.
I'm not sure which Texas track you are running at but...
Lots of C7Zs have gone 127-128 at Royal Purple, San Antonio raceway, Little River, Ennis....
The key, is getting the car properly cooled off, then doing the correct burn out and getting staged as quickly as possible, trying to keep the engine temp as low as you can.
Ofcourse cool temps and good DA are a must.
I was able to get a 10.84@127 out of my stock C7Z on a +432' DA, 3740lbs, on stock Super Sports, on only the 3rd pass in the car. I was a little disappointed in the MPH honestly.
Now with a CAI, I go 129 in -1000' DA and I still think the mph is weak.
These cars are finicky as hell to get them to run right.
Another tip, run some unleaded race fuel, these things pull timing like crazy stock, especially when they get hot.
