Default Coversion chart- 60' times to 0-60 sec times

Saw this on another forum. Source of data not given so accuracy questionable, especially for higher times which are low for LS1s

measure is linear
2.3 second 60' time = 35.5 mph @60' = 7.0 second 0-60 time
2.2 second 60' time = 37.1 mph @60' = 6.5 second 0-60 time
2.1 second 60' time = 38.9 mph @60' = 5.9 second 0-60 time
2.0 second 60' time = 40.9 mph @60' = 5.2 second 0-60 time
1.9 second 60' time = 43.0 mph @60' = 4.6 second 0-60 time
1.8 second 60' time = 45.5 mph @60' = 4.0 second 0-60 time
1.7 second 60' time = 48.1 mph @60' = 3.4 second 0-60 time
1.6 second 60' time = 51.1 mph @60' = 2.9 second 0-60 time
1.5 second 60' time = 54.5 mph @60' = 2.2 second 0-60 time
1.4 second 60' time = 58.4 mph @60' = 1.5 second 0-60 time
1.36 second 60' time = 60.0 mph @60' = 1.36 second 0-60 time
1.3 second 60' time = 62.9 mph @60' = 1.2 second 0-60 time
1.2 second 60' time = 68.1 mph @60' = 1.1 second 0-60 time
1.1 second 60' time = 74.3 mph @60' = 0.9 second 0-60 time
1.0 second 60' time = 81.8 mph @60' = 0.7 second 0-60 time

It appears to be some what accurate. My job at work is using a radar gun, There is a formula to measure mph to = distance.
If any needs the formula, E-mail me and I will send it to you.

I'm also wodering how accurate this table is. I've used a my personal best run to calculate 0-60 times using the formula where you enter your 1/8 mile et and mph. That method had my 0-60 at 4.3x seconds, yet when I use this table for my 60' time on that run (1.69) it would be somewhere in the low 3 second range. Thats quite a discrepancy

Accuracy looks a little off for faster 60' times.

Here's another way to get 0-60mph times that's probably a lot more accurate. Plot distance vs. time from one of your time slips. Put feet on the y axis and time in seconds on the x axis. Most time slips give you a 60', 330', 1/8 mile, 1000' and 1/4 mile and their respective times. Fair in a curve through the points. Next draw a straight line from point 0,0 to 880 ft, 10 sec. The slope of this line represents 60 mph (88 ft/sec). Draw a line with this same slope tangent to your distance vs. time curve. Read down from the tangent point to the x axis. That's your 0-60 mph time.

There seems to be a bit of discrepancy between the two sources. I tend to believe the site posted by STL94LT1 a little more. Based on a 7.223 @ 94.42 1/8 mile my 0-60 is 2.92. According to the conversion chart above based on a 1.48 60' time on the same run my 0-60 would be 2.2 seconds. Seems too quick to me. I can buy the 3 second 0-60 but not the 2 second time.

Our dragster 60's at 1.08 and does the 1/8th mile in 4.80 at 145MPH...I will look at the 330' and see what that ET is. May help w/the low end of the formula.

I used the link & got a 0-60 of 3.0sec for my best pass. I plugged in the #'s from my Mustang's best pass from 1998 & got 4.3 0-60.
