R.I.P. Larry Kopp
Some of you old timers may know Larry Kopp he was racing Comp eliminator untill last yr,,
That's a shame, he was one of the original Modified (anybody remember that eliminator?) then Comp racers who was always in the thick of things, won a few National events and if I remember correctly was the 1998 Pro Stock Truck Champ. I'll always remember his wheelstanding 1957 Chevy station wagon that ran E/MP that always put the back bumper on the ground and across the flanks of the car was lettered: "KOPP KAR."
I'm sure Mackey remembers him...

Sure do John, I've been following Larry's health problem on my yahoo stock/super stock group. I first meet Larry back in the early 70's running stock and later when he and my old partner Norm we're battleing it out for the Div 7 Super mod title.
It to bad but we are all getting old, another racer that real sick is Ronnie SOX, who can forget the early days of PRO STOCK with him and the GRUMP.

Been outta the loop for a few years; didn't know he was ailing.
Sat at his table, with some friends, one year at the Division One banquet, I believe.....
Ronnie Sox has been off-and-on for a while now, correct?

Did Larry Kopp race pro stock trucks at some point? I think I remember that name back when John Lingenfelter was competing in that class. If that was the same guy, Larry and John are making passes in the sky.
