Default New best for my Cartek NA 441

Today at the Corvette Challenge Pro-8 race in NJ my car was running like a champ .

The car ran a new best MPH of 137.78 , with an ET of 10.05 with a 1.50 60ft .The car was very consistent all day long and ran two other runs at 137+MPH , with an ET of 10.05 again , and 10.14 , if there would've been any track prep from E-Town , I might have had three 9-second passes .

I can't say enough how much I love this Cartek 441 Naturally Aspirated power , the car was driven to and from the track , has excellent street manners and runs like a frieght train at the track , all with the reliability and simplicity of naturally aspirated power , no bottles to fill , no belts to slip or break .

The next few weeks should be interesting with the cool fall air setting in .

Thanks again to ALL the guys at Cartek for building me this beast . :flag

Your car ran very well..sounded great and it appears that there's a bit more there. Brents car ran well too.. did he have a problem, I noticed the 14+ second run where he coasted down the track. Nice paint too.

Is the red C6 still bone stock? 11.9's are great if that's the case.

Brent missed a gear on the other run , the 10.19 @135 is a new best for him , the C6 is bone stock motor with gears and headers and 17-inch ET Streets , his best time of the day was either 11.66 or 11.77 . When they get an airbox on it it will go right in the 11.50's .

What's the CR of that engine?? I assume that it's not pump gas compatible..

It's 12 to 1 compression . I run 93-94 octane with octane booster on the street , and 100 unleaded at the track . The car is street driven 3 - 4 times a week , weather permitting .

Thanks Kenny . I have a lot to think about over the winter , right now I'm happy with the way the car runs . Next year , maybe TT , blower , nitrous or maybe nothing .
