Smokey Yunick (my engine god) said as a rule of thumb that 10 psi per 1000 rpm was enough for any engine with a properly set-up oiling system. Excessive oil pressure robs HP. 20 would be fine at idle.

Bearing loads increase with the sqaure of revs, so at idle the bearings have little load and the 5 psi is technically okay, but most engines will generate at least 20 psi at idle.
Smokey's advice is for a racing engine. For a street engine that will occasionally see 6500, the base 40-45 psi spring is okay, and the lower your oil pressure the less parasitic loss.

Once my L98 gets good and hot, my readings have been as low as 12-15 lbs . No problems yet!
