Will AFR 190 Street Heads stock springs be fine with .570/.592 valve lift?
This weekend im installing a Comp cams XR294HR-10 CC, 294/300, .050 dur 242/248 110 lobe sep, 540/562 lift (.570/.592 with my 1.6 rockers) hydralic roller cam in my 383 85 vette.
The only concern i have is too much lift with the stock AFR 190 valve springs. I see many people on here are running LPE 219 .560/.560 lift setups /w 1.6's with no problems. I dont have the tools to change springs so if its not gonna work i need to postpone the project

To sum it up, the answer would be NO. I trashed a set with a 230/230 .566/.566 hydraulic roller on mine. I probably got about 1500-2000 miles out of them before valve float started to hurt performance. You will need a very good set of springs and possibly a rev kit to take full advantage of that large ge of a hydraulic roller. From what I have been told, the extreme energy rollers are hard on springs.
