Dyno testing machined stock heads versus Dart Iron Eagles
I just finished testing a couple pairs of Chevy V8 cylider heads to see how to get the most horsepower for your dollar. I got a pair of old stock Chevy head for $50 and, with the help of race engine builder Automotive Specialists in Concord, NC, had them machined back to spec (actually better than new). Then we compared the performance on both the flow bench and engine dyno of these heads against a pair of new, fully assembled heads from Dart.
I documented everything in a video. If you get a chance, check it out at

and let me know what you think.

Burning Brakes
excellent read. The 882s got a very good prep and still came out a lot further behind than I expected. The cam was well suited to the 882s. I think the Darts would have been even stronger with more lift.

Sorry, the website has undergone a major redesign and name change. The old site wasn't supposed to be taken down until the new one went up, but I realized the web guru jumped the gun on that one.
If you will give it a day or two, the new address for the video is:

Thanks!
