I have a question for you guys.
I have a c6 that I want to make sound like a sports car.
I would like to add just mufflers. I have the tips I want to use.
i plan on saving the mufflers from the system that is on now and if I sell replace those.
Thanks
Robin

Thanks for the question. What year is your c6? Our Force 2 system comes with 60 series mufflers, which gives mild outside sound with very little interior resonance. We have two kits. One is a catback kit, which is basically a plug in system. The second is our axle back system, which will take a little modification to fit in place. I used the first year of the c6 as part of the search on the Flowmaster website. Results can be found here.

Our kits use a "one off" muffler which is tuned to the Corvette to help control the interior drone and still maintain quality sound outside the car. Universal mufflers would work, but there is no guarantee on the sound quality. Because these mufflers are unique to the Corvette, they are only offered in kits.

Default C1 Exhaust Help

I have a slightly modified C1 with a slightly larger than stock 283 installed under the hood. I have a set of shorty headers installed and from that point on things are essentially stock all the way through the rear bumper. I'd like to replace the stock stuff with something that flows better, and sounds better, but maintain the through the bumper design. It's got a nice little cam that needs to be heard. It's a tough order with having to go through the frame and all, but my 2" exhaust is way too small.
Ideas?
Thanks, Don S.

Hi Don,

Not coming up with anything in the way of entire exhaust systems, but I'd take a look at our 50 Series Delta Flow muffler. It's a 2 inch offset inlet, center outlet muffler popular with street rodders. It's 10x17x4 and might be what you're after to do your cam some justice.

I'm, looking for mufflers for my '93 coupe to replace a pair of what appear to be short (14") glasspacks. The car is used primarily for autocross so noise is not a huge issue, but it's too loud for street use with the current mufflers.

The engine is a built 383 and has a fairly lopey cam. Headers, 2-1/2" true duals with an X-pipe make up the exhaust going back to the two existing mufflers.

I have been to the Flowmaster website and listened to the Super 44's and the Super 40's. but it's pretty hard to tell the difference in sound. Of the two muffler versions, which one will have the deepest tone? Is there any difference in terms of power increase/decrease?

You're correct. There is very little difference in sound but the deeper tone comes from the Super 40s. The Super 44 has a thinner casing, therefore a smaller chamber and therefore a higher tone. There is no performance difference between the two.

As always, feel free to call our product specialists here at 707-544-4761 for additional information if needed.
