Default Modeling a 406 street engine w/DD2000 Is this Right?!?

Hi guys,

Just playing around with Dyno2000 for a SBC400 build up. These numbers seem too big for some reason. Here's what I put in...

SBC 400 .30 over
AFR 190 heads
9.5 compression
750 cfm carb
small tube headers w/mufflers

For the cam I chose a Crane hyd roller #119831 with the following specs...
http://www.cranecams.com/master/apps...#3.%20PowerMax

Here's the hp / torque graph...

Questions
How realistic are these numbers?
How streetable is this cam?
Should I sacrafice torque for more hp up top?
Any recommendations?

With a SBC400, is additional machine work needed for 6in rods?

Car will be a weekend cruiser. Automatic trans with 3.36 gears. I don't want to give up any drivability (ie. Poor idle or low vacuum). I'm leaning toward a hyd cam for just these reasons, you can get a more agressive grind w/ less drawbacks (I think).

Any feedback appreciated...

That seems very realistic. That cam is streetable on a 350 it would be much more streetable on a 400, that's why you have so much bottom end. I would run about 8deg more of intake duration and exhaust you'd still have about 500ftlbs a little higher and about 450 horse use a small single plane like a victor jr it gives up no low-end when compared to a dual plane and gives more top end. Anyway this is a good combo should be good for at least low 12's.

Well, did you select roller cam from the menu? If so, set it to flat tappet (the manual also mentions that), the roller cam selection is only for true race rollers w/ very aggressive lobe profiles.

I actually loaded the profile from a .CAM file off the web....

119831?? I am just guessing, but is that cam also recremmonded for Forced inducted engines? I am guessing that cause I thought that their numbers 119831, 119841, 119851 were their 3 cams designed for forced induction. I could be wrong though, and I have not gone to look to answer my own question either.
