1999 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am “Firehawk”
Here is your rare opportunity to purchase a 1999 Pontiac Firehawk Trans AM "REAL FIREHAWK" not just a basic trans am or ws6 ram-air car or a v6 car with a LS1 swap THE REAL DEAL.

The Trans AM model upon which this car is based features at 5.7 liter LS1 SFI CORVETTE V8, 6-speed Borg Warner t-56 manual transmission with Hurst Shifter, 3.42 geared 4 channel limited slip posi- traction differential, 4-wheel power disc brakes 2piston fronts 1 piston rears, power steering with tilt wheel, removable and locking twin hatch roof (T-TOPS), rear deck spoiler, Aero package with fog lamps, HD Bilstein Shocks, tranction control switch (TCS),

Current Mileage on the car is under 46,000

The interior luxury equipment includes dark grey leather interior, front lumbar dual power seats (no rips/ cracking or wear signs as typical Pontiacs do), air conditioning, Delco ETR AM/FM radio w/CD player, graphic equalizer, and Monsoon 10-speaker premium sound system and power antenna, power windows, door locks and exterior mirrors. The car has been very well maintained and checked by someone that knows these cars inside and out, and all lights and bulbs are new and working nothing missing from the car at all. Oils were just changed (7/7/11) with Mobil 1 synthetic and transmission just drained and refilled. Brand New interstate battery just installed.

This car is 1 of only 719 production cars made in 1999.
622 of the cars were United States and 97 were Canadian.

*****This car is 1 of ONLY 80 Pewter Metallic firehawk cars of the 622 made here in the United States produced and altered by SLP.

The only aftermarket items the car has on it are:

-red painted brake calipers,
-a reuseable drop in K&N filter for the airbox,
-Lou's Short Stick Shifter handle to compliment the Hurst units (the factory one will also come with the car)
-I have also installed a 40in Speed Bleeder from EastCoast Performance Corvettes on the car for the future buyer to make bleeding the clutch a 15 min job and peace of mind the product is top of the line quality.
-BMR strut tower bar
-The car also has American Racing Torque Trust II rims that are alumimium and have been polished to a shine. Two front tires are Goodyear F1 GSD3s 245/45ZR17 85% thread life, two rear tires are Sumitomo HTRZ II 275/40ZR17 with 80% thread life. With lugs and Locks for all rims.
****I do not have the factory 17" factory rims.

The car was just California Smogged on 7/5/11 and passed with flying colors (good for 90days of transfer in CA and we know CA SMOG is the strictest in the nation) and title is clean and clear. The car is 100% rust free never driven in the rain and has never seen the snow.

The car is also registered on the Firehawk registry to ensure it truely is a genuwine FIREHAWK and can be seen here
http://www.firehawkregistry.com/car/6725.html

the only problems are the minor clear coat peel as seen in the pics on the hood, and previous ower looks like he backed in something and paint id off a small portion of the rear bumper .

The car drives tight and stiff the way these cars should, and rides smooth and will put a deffinite smile on you face and all around great car and will deff hold it's value just have too many things going on right now to keep.

PLEASE DO NOT POST NONSENSE AND RUIN MY THREAD ABOUT NEGATIVE COMMENTS .....

I will be happy to answer additional questions by email or PM i have plenty of pics on this car as well price is 14,000 or trade for c5 plus or minus cash no junk or problem cars

Car is also for sale locally as well
Buyer is responsible for shipping expenses and looking that information up and can be picked up in Redlands,CA 92373

That is a nice car.

What's the difference between a V8Formula and the 'hawk?

forumlas had the v6 style front and rear bumpers and interior was different (typically cloth in most i believe), Ta's were heavier and had more options dual lumbar power seats and imo better front and rear bumpers. The firehawk was limitied to the specific years and SLP added to the value with their add ons (auburn unit, bigger sways, fluid package, car cover, mats, rims) each of the years.
