My custom 1968 Camaro
I've been a member here for some time now. I've owned a couple C6's with my most recent being an 09 Z06 which I just sold as I have a C7 on order. I figured I would share my 68 Camaro with you guys. I built the car myself with the exception of a few things that were done by outside shows.
I completed a complete frame off customization in 1999 after which it was a feature car in the April 1999 Car Audio and Security buyers guide. Since this I've accumulated a total of 2000 miles on it. I just recently decided that it was time to start driving her again. It has four wheel disc brakes but the car never made enough vacuum due to the cam and as such, the brakes never worked well. Last weekend I swapped in a hydro boost brake setup from Tallon Hydraulics and it now stops like a dream. I drove it to work today for the first time in several years!
A bit about the car. It has a bored and stroked small block 400 that sits at about 407ci topped with an Accel DFI Superram TPI setup and backed with a built 700R4 transmission. Full leather interior with Recaro seats and custom bolstered back seats to match. Dakota Digital gauges in the factory location, mid 80's Camaro center console, Billet Specialties custom tilt billet steering column with matching billet steering wheel. A HUGE sound system. 17" Billet Specialties Rims wrapped with Pirelli tires. Too much chrome and polish to list.
Some pictures taken in the last few days as well as today.
