To answer your question.. I am not sure what I would rather have when it comes to C5Z vs C6 base. I have seen a few C6Zs come up for sale at $25 in the past few months. If that is something you were interested in I would just hold out a little bit longer.

had an 01 trans am, idiot ran a red light and destroyed my front end. Car was totaled out by allstate. I tried to avoid it, swerving saved my life for sure but didn't save the car. But of course My Life>>my car.

After that, got a c5. Now own a c6. Not a day goes by that I miss my T.A. Sure the Vette's are faster, but there's nothing like a badass T.A.

Im getting older and chubbier.....getting in and out of the C6 is ALOT easier than it was with my 93 Firebird....not to mention its power and ride are also ALOT better. For awhile I couldnt figure out why getting in and out of the Vette wasnt a problem. Until I saw the two of them side by side. The seats sit at the back of the door on the Vette, the seats in the Firebird are about middle ways of the door....that little bit of room makes a world of difference.

Yeah I am a Firebird nut. I owned a 77, 78, 79, 81, 87, 97, 99, 00, 02.
Also had Camaro's 74, 75, 87, 95, 97, 2010.


I bought the C5 to finish what I call my GM Trifecta - Firebird, Camaro, Corvette. The wife thought I was nuts. I traded in my last 00 trans am for a jeep Cherokee for her since her truck died in the middle of winter.


Bought a 00 Corvette and don't regret it.

C7Z and Z28 both great to drive but prefer the Z28 because you don't see any on the road.
